COMMUNITY GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS

 

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. Meetings are held at the Catholic Church every Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. For more information, contact 1-888-425-2666.

 

Bits ‘n Pieces Quilt Club meets every Monday night at the United Church. For more information, contact Wendy Walters at (306) 453-6345.

Carlyle Lions Club is a service club which works towards making a better community. Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at the Happy Gang Club, beginning at 7:00 p.m. For more information, contact Wade Trippel at (306) 453-2844.

 

Cornerstone Theatre Cornerstone Theatre Inc. is based in the southeast corner of Saskatchewan, drawing both cast and audience from areas in and around Carlyle. Green and Clean Committee: The Carlyle Green and Clean Committee exists to keep help keep our community looking green, clean and beautiful for now and future generations.

Every summer they host the Annual Green and Clean Competition where homes, businesses and organizations are eligible to be recognized for keeping their property clean and beautiful.  For more information contact the Town Office at (306) 453-2363.

 

Lion’s Campground – Quiet, well-treed campground situated west of the baseball diamonds. Modern washroom with showers and flush toilets. Dumping station. Golf courses nearby. Heated swimming pool, hot tub, children’s pool and playground. Prairie Dog DriveIn – Carlyle is home to one of the very few Drive in Theatres around showing movies during the summer months – check their website for more information at Prairie Dog Drive In or call (306) 453-6095.

Rusty Relics Museum is located on Railway Avenue within an in a 1909 Canadian National Railway (CN) Station, and gives visitors a wonderful glimpse into the past.

Also on site is a Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) Caboose, a CN Repair Shop and motorized (jigger) railcar, farm machinery shed, one-room school house, oil pump jack and a farm windmill.
