Carlyle falls under the Southeast Cornerstone School Division. We have an Elementary School for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6, and G. F. Kells High School for students in Grades 7 to 12. Enrolment at the elementary school is approximately 235 students with an additional 16 in the pre-kindergarten program. The high school has an enrolment of approximately 180 to 190 students.
Besides a full academic program, the Carlyle Elementary School offers After School Programs in partnership with Cornerstone Family and Youth check with the school for upcoming programs, these programs offer physical activity, creativity, and intellectual development.

Cornerstone Family and Youth is a non-profit, charitable organization offering positive educational and recreational programs and activities for children, youth, young adults and families within the community of Carlyle and surrounding area. They provide a Parent and Tot program, where both parents and children can interact. Crafts, stories, songs and snacks are all provided. This program runs on Tuesday & Wednesday mornings from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. As well they offer various afterschool programs for school age children. The Carlyle Cooperative Playschool which is a cooperative school run by parents for their children, has been in existence since 1978 when a group of mothers decided to create a place for their children to participate in a pre-school atmosphere where they could develop emotionally, socially, creatively, and physically.
Look for their Registration Night and Annual General Meeting in September each year. This program offers structure, play, social skills development and field trips for children aged three and four. French First Language Education is offered from pre-kindergarden to Grade 12 at Ecole de Bellegarde, in Bellegarde, Sk. The school is part of the Conseil des ecoles fransaskoise (CEF), the only French first-language provincially funded school division in Saskatchewan. Children are eligible to this education if their parent is a right-holder (http://www.cefsk.ca/EN/En_WhoAttend/index.html).
At Ecole de Bellegarde, all subjects are taught in French, except for English Language Arts, which respects the provincial curriculum standards. Students don’t just learn French, they live the language and culture in this 100% Francophone school environment.
From Grade 9 to 12, students have their own laptop, for quick access to French-language educational resources. Students graduate with up to 36 high school credits (exceeding the provincial 24 credit requirement), and a superior level of bilingualism, providing more post-secondary and career opportunities in the language of their choice.
